Do something for Giving Tuesday

20th November 2018

Giving Tuesday, on the 27th November, is about doing something for a cause that means something to you. We’ve put together some suggestions that would make a difference for freshwater wildlife

Here at Freshwater Habitats Trust, we’ve been protecting freshwater wildlife for thirty years. We’ve only been able to achieve what we have because of your support. You can help us continue our work.

Join the worldwide movement this Giving Tuesday…

Donate something

Raffle off items or hold a bake sale to raise money, donate some land, or leave a gift in your will to ensure our work protecting wildlife continues.

Buy something

Whether it’s your Christmas shopping, or buying a little something for yourself, your purchases can raise funds to help freshwater wildlife. Take a look at the t-shirts and more by Lifeforms Art, and the water butts and ponds kits from Gardenis.co.uk (use the code FRESHWATER at checkout).  Shop online with Amazon Smile, The Giving Machine or Easy Fundraising to raise donations.

Give time

Make a difference for freshwater wildlife in Oxford – join us in the Saving Oxford’s Wetland Wildlife and Oxfordshire Fens projects.

Campaign for something

Lend your voice to campaigns to bring about change for freshwater wildlife. Help Protect Our Waters – speak up for strong laws to protect freshwaters across Europe, and speak out against plans that would damage wonderful, important freshwater habitats, such as the Ox-Cambs Expressway and the M4 on the Gwent Levels.

Give some money

Make a donation today, and set up a Facebook fundraiser to encourage your friends to donate too.

Thank you

We are enormously grateful for all the donations we receive, the good words you put in, for knowledge you share and the help that you give. Together, we can protect freshwater wildlife for everyone to enjoy.

Join the movement on Tuesday 27th November 2018 and help us do more for freshwater wildlife.
