Nidderdale Project Officer

 £23-£24,000, 60% pro-rata + pension

21 hours per week for 16 month fixed term contract

Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) is one of the country’s finest landscapes. Our primary purpose is to conserve and enhance Nidderdale’s natural beauty. The Nidderdale Priority Ponds Project Officer will deliver a surveying, volunteer and engagement programme of work but also work closely with the AONB team to access additional funding for capital works to maintain and restore key priority ponds.

GRCF Project Manager

We are looking for an enthusiastic Project Manager to run Freshwater Habitats Trust’s new multi-partner Green Recovery Challenge Fund project ‘Building Oxfordshire’s Freshwater Network: engaging people in nature’s recovery’. Evidence of ability to manage multi partner projects involving freshwater habitats will be essential, either involving habitat creation/management or working with citizens in practical conservation programmes. Evidence of budget management and staff management/training experience desirable, along with knowledge of the ecology of freshwater ecosystems.

Full time/Permanent contract. Based in Oxford office with substantial flexibility for working from home.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Project Officer to develop and deliver Freshwater Habitats Trust’s practical freshwater habitat creation and management projects in Oxfordshire and adjacent areas, especially creating floodplain freshwater and wetland habitats. Evidence of experience in creating or managing freshwater habitats will be essential, covering either standing or flowing waters, as well as experience of landowner engagement. Evidence of project management experience desirable, along with knowledge of the ecology of freshwater ecosystems.
