Freshwater through the seasons

This November we are launching our first-ever photo competition: Celebrating small freshwater habitats through the seasons.  We want to capture the beauty of the natural world through its freshwater habitats: streams, lakes, rivers, ditches and of course ponds, and the wildlife that inhabits them.  The winning entries will have their photos featured in our forthcoming 2015 calendar.

There are 2 rounds to the competition, with 6 winners within each:

Round one
Category: autumn and winter

Closing date 01 March winner announced at the end of March

Round two
Category: spring and summer

Closing date 29 August 2014 winners announced at the end of Sept

The competition is open to anyone – amateurs and professionals alike but please state which you are!

All entries must be available in a high resolution version, and emailed to: info@freshwaterhabitats.org.uk with your full name, photo title/location, and contact details.
